The basics

Here’s the essential, need-to-know info. See subsequent sections for more detailed information.

(star) To sign into your Wolves email account

  • Go to www.outlook.com/fgc.edu.

    • Your Wolves email address and password are provided to you in your initial admissions letter from the college.

    • Your initial password is your 8-digit birthday in the format “MMDDYYYY” (ex: if your birthday is January 1, 2000, your initial password will be “01012000”).

  • Note: All FGC users are required to use multifactor information on their accounts. (See: Multifactor authentication for students.)

(star) To reset your Wolves account password

  • Go to my.fgc.edu.

    • Your username is your Wolves email address.

    • Your password is the password for your Wolves email address.

(star) To sign into Canvas (“My Courses”)

  • Go to fgc.instructure.com.

    • Your username is your Wolves email address.

    • Your password is the password for your Wolves email address.

Signing into your Wolves account for the first time

To sign into your Wolves account, you need your Wolves email address (ex: “john.smith@wolves.fgc.edu”) and your initial password.

  • Your Wolves email address and password are provided to you in your initial admissions letter from the college.

  • Your initial password is your 8-digit birthday in the format “MMDDYYYY” (ex: if your birthday is January 1, 2000, your initial password will be “01012000”).

Sign-in process

Step 1: In a web browser, go to www.outlook.com/fgc.edu.

Step 2: In the “Your FGC email address” field, enter your Wolves email address.

Step 3: Enter the password provided to you in your admissions letter or by your academic advisor.

Step 4: You will see More information required prompt like below. Follow the instructions on your screen to configure your multifactor authentication (MFA) methods. For more information about MFA, see Multifactor authentication for students.

Step 5: Once you’ve set up your MFA methods, you’re good to go. You can now use your Wolves account to sign into FGC services.
